The results of a residential weekend at the Snowdonia National Park Study Centre, Maentwrog, near Blaenau Ffestiniog. The course was taught by Julia Griffiths Jones, Senior Lecturer at the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David, Swansea Metropolitan. Julia's work combines textiles and drawing, often using wire, in an innovative way to produce pieces which reflect a fascination with domestic culture at home and abroad.
The workshop included instruction in decorative wire techniques; once these were learned it was a relatively small jump to translate an experimental plate lithograph from the "Imaginary Bones" series into wire drawings.
