Thank you, Robert Louis Stevenson
"To travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive, and the true success is to labour."
R.L.S.
Virginibus Puerisque, El Dorado
The full quotation is a little more sententious than it's misquoted version ("... better to travel hopefully than to arrive..") but it's nicely constructed. I had forgotten the last half, but it's very apt. In painting and drawing, the process of making is often more important than the finished item - and sometimes more satisfying.
