Open Studios, Day 1

I did think about writing some thoughts about Open Studios in general (Why?  What?  etc.)  but have come in to dry my feet after an afternoon's torrential rain, and haven't got the energy. 

Due to an unseasonal northerly wind, the rain has blown in under the studio door and is dripping through tiny gaps in the roof.  The latter has never happened before, to my knowledge.  So, having worked hard to make a small display area by the door, I have had to move everything to the back of the studio and lifted most things up on blocks in anticipation of More Rain overnight and tomorrow.  I have a large umbrella in readiness.
There are times when an Open Studio event seems mainly to be a)tidying up, and b)more tidying up.
